Features
Whether you are learning your first words or reaching for the right one mid-sentence, tokipwnage keeps up.
Every word in the language, each with its meanings grouped by part of speech — nouns, verbs, prepositions, particles, and more. A clean master/detail layout that feels right on every device.
Search across words or their meanings and see matches highlighted instantly. Filter the list by part of speech to narrow things down.
Star the words you use most and jump straight to them. Your favorites persist across launches, right on your device.
Not sure how a word sounds? Speak any word — or a whole phrase — aloud in a voice you choose. Great for building an ear for the language.
Type an English sentence and assemble the Toki Pona phrase from matching words, then speak the result. A hands-on way to start thinking in Toki Pona.
A single universal app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The whole dictionary lives on your device — no account, no connection required.

tokipwnage uses the speech voices already built into your device (Apple's AVSpeechSynthesizer) — nothing is downloaded or sent anywhere. Open Settings inside the app and choose a voice; from then on the speaker button reads any word or built phrase aloud. Until you pick a voice the app stays silent and simply prompts you to choose one. You can add more voices in your system settings (iOS: Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices; Mac: System Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content).
Completely. The entire dictionary, search, filters, favorites, speech, and the phrase builder all run on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no network connection required — on a plane or off the grid, everything works exactly the same.
When you star a word it is saved locally on your device and is right there the next time you open the app. Favorites never leave your device and are not tied to any account.
Type an English sentence and tokipwnage matches your words against the dictionary to assemble a Toki Pona phrase, which you can then speak aloud. Toki Pona is a small, deliberately minimal language, so think of it as a hands-on phrase builder for learning rather than a word-for-word machine translator — it helps you find the right words and start putting them together yourself.
tokipwnage is a single universal app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac (iOS 16.1+ / macOS 13+). Buy it once and use it everywhere your Apple ID goes.
Privacy Policy
tokipwnage is designed to work entirely on your device. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server to talk to.
Nothing. tokipwnage does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind, and it makes no network requests.
Your settings — such as your chosen speech voice — and your favorite words are stored locally on your device only. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or anyone else. Removing the app removes this data.
Speaking words and phrases uses the speech voices built into your Apple device. Text you speak is handled on-device by the operating system's speech synthesizer; tokipwnage does not record, store, or transmit it.
Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children. tokipwnage is safe for users of any age.
There are no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or backend services involved. The only company that ever sees anything about your purchase is Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy, as with any App Store app.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Since the app collects no data, any changes would only ever add clarity.
